I have to remind myself
Each and every day
To take that risk
And find my way

We’re often told to live safely
And keep our dreams small
But never taking risks
Is the biggest risk of all

I ask myself today
What is the reason for my doubt?
Well, the critics in my head
They seem to be too loud

Though they may be from the past
They still are here today
I’m looking for alternatives
To what they have to say

So I take the plunge
And critics do as they may
My heart is whispering louder
Than anything they say

Like Walt Disney said
It started with a mouse and a dream
It takes an idea and some courage
Little as it may seem

When I stumble blindly
And everything seems lost
I tune to my whispering heart
At whatever cost

And thus, I have to remind myself
Each and every day
To take that risk
And find my way

We’re often told to live safely
And keep our dreams small
But never taking risks
Is the biggest risk of all

So I can sit here by the sideline
And let the critic shout
Or I can enter the arena
And make my dreams stand out
